JESSICA HUNTLEY - THRILLER AUTHOR

ABOUT ME

Welcome!

My name is Jessica Huntley and I'm a self-published author of psychological/suspense thrillers. I published my first book in April 2021 and haven't looked back since. I'm a huge fan of reading any and all thrillers. My favourite authors are Chris Carter and John Marrs (and many more!) I love thrillers because of the twists and turns and shocking reveals and use the books I read as inspiration to write my own.
A bit about my background

I wrote my first book at age six. Between the ages of ten and eighteen, I'd written ten full-length fiction novels as a hobby in my spare time between school and work.
At age eighteen, I left my hobby behind and joined the British Army as an Intelligence Analyst where I spent the next four and a half years as a soldier. I attempted to write more novels but was never able to finish them.
I later left the Army and studied Fitness and Personal Training, which later became my career. I enjoy keeping fit and exercising daily.

How did I start writing?

During the first national lockdown of 2020, I signed up on a whim to a novel writing course, and the rest is history. My love of writing came flooding back, and I managed to write and finish my debut novel, The Darkness Within Ourselves, inspired by my love of dark thrillers. Since then I've written six other books, co-written a horror novel, had a short story published in an anthology and completed a Level 3 Diploma in Editing and Proofreading.

I'm a wife, a mum to a crazy child who has just started school, a part-time time copywriter and editor and a self-published author. I live in Newbury with my family, including Morgan, our black Labrador.

I'm now working on a new novel and I read every day (thrillers...obviously!)
